Digital Citizenship Perspectives-Parents & Community_Individual Awareness

Overview/description

This information reported that it relates to Individual Awareness because kids are asking their parents about sites and if they can use them.

This page is like Individual Awareness because families are getting together and talking about the safety on the internet and the computer. Parents are caring more about their children's safety and talking to them about their safety. They are telling them about how to act online and how to be polite to other and their privacy. [1]

    Examples

There are some families that make agreements about what to do online. These are some agreements I read about. Always try to keep personal information safe. Never make plans to meet someone that you met online without parental approval. You need approval to post pictures of friends and relatives. Downloading music, games, and other things can be illegal. Get parental approval to sign up for anything online. Tell adults about any bullying through text or email. Only send friendly messages. Only buy things after you ask a parent. Share the computer with other people. Only open files you know.
